Miami Beach, FL – June 8, 2026 — Amber, also known as yantar, is one of the most fascinating and mysterious gems in history.
Unlike most precious stones, it does not come from the deep layers of the Earth as a mineral. Instead, amber has an organic origin — it is formed from tree resin that slowly hardened and transformed over millions of years through time, pressure, and natural conditions.
Because of this unusual origin, amber carries a special connection to nature, ancient forests, and the memory of the Earth.

In a drop of resin, plants, and even hair were often preserved. For mystics of the past, this was proof that the stone carried “frozen time” within it.
The Legend of the Gauja Bird
Once, a powerful king heard about the Gauja bird, who lived by the Amber Sea in a deep forest. In her nest, she guarded a necklace of extraordinary beauty made from amber.
Each bead held a living picture: swans flying through the sky, ships sailing across the sea, the sun rising over pink clouds.
The king ordered his servant to bring him the treasure and not return without it. The servant traveled across the sea to the Amber Land, found the tree where Gauja lived, waited until the bird flew away, and stole the necklace from her nest.
On his way back, he admired the magical beads, each one shining with its own hidden scene. But suddenly, the Gauja bird appeared.
She seized the thief, lifted him high into the sky, and dropped him into the sea. Terrified, the servant lost the necklace in the waves and returned home empty-handed. When the king learned what had happened, he cruelly punished him.
But the necklace did not vanish. Its amber beads scattered across the sea floor and took root. From them grew a hidden forest beneath the water. Its branches reached upward toward the sun, but could never touch it.
From those branches fell amber tears, which the waves carried to the shore.
That is why, when someone finds a piece of amber by the sea and looks into its depths, they may see a picture meant only for them. What the cruel king could not take by force, the sea now gives freely to people..
Part of amber’s mystical beauty comes from its history. It has been found in different parts of the world, but the most famous and traditional type is Baltic amber, which comes from the Baltic region.
Even in ancient and prehistoric times, people saw it as a talisman of protection, luck, attraction, and inner warmth.
In some traditions, amber was also used in rituals and sacred ceremonies as an object of beauty, warmth, and spiritual protection.
